Joanna is beginning to grasp birthdays. It is John's birthday in a couple of weeks, and she's brought him a toy car. We had a birthday party we went to yesterday, of another little boy who is 2. She was pleased to give him his present, although had to be restrained from opening it herself.
She was chatting to one of the other dads and the conversation went like this:
"How old are you"
"3"
"When will you be 4?"
"When it's my birthday"
So true!
