It was John's birthday today, and he's had a lovely day, some lovely pressies, cake, a little party, and not too many tears.
We got him a little guitar for his birthday. Finally someone has made a kid's toy which isn't too annoying. Although I do have snippets of "Love shack", and "Crazy little thing called love" going round my head. He barely let go of his guitar all day, although the diggers and car he got from other people did get a bit of time. He liked his digger cake, and tried so hard to blow out the candle.
He's also made me happy by joining two words together - "Mummy duddle". What more can a mum ask for :-)
Unfortunately Mark's now away for a couple of days, but tomorrow is another day to celebrate John's birthday, as one set of grandparents arrive to celebrate with him, and look after me.
