One of the frustrations of early pregnancy is that it's a secret. For a while I have to stop moaning about how I feel, I have to try and be a little sneaky about not drinking. I can't discuss all the exciting little details of pregnancy.
The reason is of course that the risk of miscarriage is fairly high, however I'm still not telling some people, even though I would probably tell them if there was a problem. The reason for not telling people is that then they don't have to go through the long wait for the first scan! Once I've had the 12 week scan I can then get properly excited about Baby3.
