Discipline

Joanna has hit the "terrible twos", and can throw some amazing tantrums. Generally she is good, but we have decided it was time to introduce the "naughty mat". Mark told her about it and how she would have to sit there if she didn't do what mummy and daddy need her to. Later that day when Joanna attempted to go upstairs without a overprotective parent to help, Mark threatened the naughty mat if she didn't come back into the lounge, so Joanna came back into the lounge. Then a few second later she decided she wanted to go and sit on the naughty mat - despite not doing anything wrong.

John is only 3 months old, and has already been told off. We were unwrapping christmas pressies with John and Joanna and ended up saying "no John, you can't unwrap Joanna's pressie" - only seemed fair when Joanna had had a few tantrums when she couldn't open John's pressies. John getting told off when it is Joanna's fault... it could be a sign for the future.
