Counting

Warning: Proud mummy moment!

Joanna in beginning to get the hang of numbers. She can recognise the numbers 1 - 3 (although she thought the S in sainsbury's was a 2). Here's a little video of her counting the number of little people on her new hair band.

My latest toddler book says
Your child may be able to learn her numbers by rote, (for example, count up to five or even 10 by the end of this year.)

But that is in the section labelled 3-4 years! :-)

It's nice to see her practising counting the little people for when she takes over the world!

Joanna was always going to be a smart cookie with you two for parents! Nice to see she's enjoying her belated birthday/christmas pressies. Aunty Pip

Very cute, clever girl!
Dave also confuses S and 2 - it's perfectly normal. He was able to count to 10 in both English and Welsh before he was 3 years old... recon there's maths in the Gooding genes!
