Joanna is still fairly good at tantrums, we had another one this evening, partly because she was tired after a full day at nursery. Joanna just stood in her bedroom crying, nothing we could do would get her to stop. Then John put her t-shirt on his head. Then the tears became giggles, as her little brother achieved something we've not done before - tears becoming laughter.
The two of them are now really beginning to enjoy each other's company. They regularly chase each other in the living room, both shreaking with laughter. John also chases Joanna down the corridor at nursery, desperate to catch up with her. The next big thing will be when John can talk, and hearing them chat together.

Yes, it's great when they start to interact with each other independantly of 'grown ups' - and it does get even better as they grow up and start talking.
When Matt crys at the dinner table (because he's tired and hungry), Dave and Cathy occssionally start discussing what funny things to do/ faces to pull to stop him crying - they usually come up with something that ends up with all 3 laughing... just pity it often also involves some messy food on face/ hair game that Matt also joins in with! :)
