We've just passed a major milestone, so we had a little party to celebrate. We now officially have 2.4 kids, so we are officially average. Now before you point out the obvious, we know that now the average is now about 1.9 kids, but 2.4 sounds better!
We had a lovely evening, with some lovely people. We didn't achieve all that we set out to, in order to make it "average", but we did have fairly average food - cheese & pineapple, crisps, pizza and icecream. We did succeed in having one of the 15 people in fancy dress. We didn't have anyone slumped in the corner from too much alcohol, well not too obviously anyway.
Anyway, this blog is supposed to be about our kids.
We got home 15 minutes before the party started, as we'd been meeting up with Pip and Iain. So the kids were up and joining in the party. I eventually persuaded John that milk was better than beer, and he was in bed by 8:30. I think Joanna would have stayed up all night. However she went to bed around 9:30, and was sat in her room reading a book. We went up later to find her still clutching this book in her sleep. A maths book. Hmmmm!
